One Book Read City is a community-wide literacy initiative that gives elementary students in Knox County an opportunity to engage in reading the same classic children’s book. The goal of the One Book program is to encourage dialogue, foster reading at home, and bring businesses, non-profits, and schools together through events and activities centered around the book. Students will follow a reading calendar and participate in a community wide scavenger hunt May 1st – 15th with students turning in their cards by May 19th.
